MORTIMER, Maisie Pearl
January 28, 1930 ~ October 7, 2010
Maisie passed away peacefully at the Comox Valley Seniors Village. Maisie was predeceased by her husband of 55 years Ian Baird Mortimer. She is survived by her sons Scot (Maria), and Burke, daughters Laura, and Michelle (Jane), as well as her grandchildren Duncan and Fiona.
Maise was born in Joe Batts Arm, Newfoundland and trained in St. John’s as a Registered Nurse. As a young woman, she travelled across Canada to B.C. where she continued her nursing career and met the love of her life Ian. Maisie and Ian enjoyed many adventures together within Canada and abroad.
Family and friends from coast to coast will fondly remember Maisie. Heartfelt thanks go out to the caring staff at the C.V. Seniors Village for their kindness and compassion. Thank you to Dr Carol Galway for her exceptional care and benevolence.
A service for Maisie will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Red Cross.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Toneff Funeral Services.
