Marc Hanington passed away at the age of 84 at Comox, B.C., on November 1, 2007, after a lengthy fight to recover from a stroke. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Jeannie, his daughter Christine, his brother Bill, and sister Yvette. He will be forever missed by his sister Jacqueline Collinge and his brother in law Steve (Yvette) Clark, his daughters Donna Anthony, Dana (Herb) Wells, Michele (Ron) Gruhlke, his son Peter (Sandra) Hanington, his sons in law Jake Hilton (Christine) and Joe Wadley, his daughter in law Linda Hanington, and by his forty-two grand-children and great-grand-children, to whom he will always be ‘Granddad’.
His family is grateful for the gentle and caring nurses and staff of the 3rd floor ward at St. Joseph’s Hospital, who touched us with the kindness that they showed for Dad, and for all of us, as Dad made his way home.
Services will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Comox (218 Church Street), at 1:00 o’clock pm, on Saturday, November 10, 2007.
