Eunice McLeod born July 27th in High Hill, Saskatchewan and deceased April 10th, 2004 peacefully at Laurel Lodge in Courtenay, B.C. Predeceased by her parents Edith Ann (Lloyd) and Walter Henry Scott, her siblings; Lloyd, Trevor, Walter and Joyce. Survived by her daughter Lynne Marinus (John) and son Rob Mcleod (Carol), grandchildren Kelly and Becky McLeod, Terri, Shawn, Margaret and Heather McCormack, Alison Anderson and David Bryant, great grandchildren; Lindsay McCormack, Kelsey and Mikaela McCormack, Christina Anderson, Josh and Emily McLeod, Tony, Stephanie and Kari-anne Krenbrink, many nieces, a nephew and friends. Eunice moved with her family from High Hill, Saskatchewan at an early age to the Vancouver area. In 1943 she became a member of the CWAC and served time in London as a tele-communicator. Her journal is full of experiences in the army, family, friends and many adventures. From 1949 to 1982 Eunice worked for BC Tel mostly as a long distance operator and has been a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Eunice enjoyed playing women’s softball, dancing, golf (a hole in one trophy), extensive travel and especially the ocean and sunsets. Eunice volunteered many hours for the Canadian Institute for the Blind and the Canadian Red Cross. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of  Eunice may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC, #20 — 601 West Cordova St., Vancouver, B.C.  V6B 1G1.
