It is with love and deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Mother and Nana, Margaret O’Connor Moodie (nee Hagarty). Mom was predeceased by her husband Thomas, as well as her sister Kathleen and brothers Ted and Colton. She is survived by her four daughters: Heather (Stan) Kelliher, Anne (Fred) Burke, Paddy Pearson (Rick Peplow), and Sheila (Bill) McMillan; and her sisters: Sheila and Sister Mary Michael, SP; as well as 16 beloved grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Our Mom grew up in Courtenay with her 5 brothers and sisters. Her father, William Hagarty was a well-known building contractor who built the Native Sons Hall, the Philburg House, as well as many other community landmarks. Her nephew, Martin Hagarty, resides in Courtenay and carries on the family tradition as an architect. Funeral Service was held at All Saints Catholic Church in Coquitlam, September 21st.
