Margaret Virginia Haines

God reached down his hand and took mother HOME just before 10:00pm, Sunday September 26, 2004. Her pain has now ceased and her suffering is over. Mother was born in Tiverton, N.S. to William and Helen Cossaboom on August 29, 1913. She grew up and was educated in her village on the island and later graduating from the Provincial Teachers College in Truro, N.S. in 1934. She put her career on hold for almost 20 years while raising her family. She taught elementary school for 25 years in and around Digby, N.S. Many of her students and their parents fondly remember her to this day for the dedication and love she showed during her teaching career. She was predeceased by her two husbands; Smith Harding and Reynold Haines and her only brother Herbert Cossaboom. Margaret is survived and will be deeply missed by her son; Gary Harding (Marlyn) of Guelph, Ontario, daughter; Helen Buck of Courtenay, B.C. and granddaughter; Symone Hastings (Don) Spruce Grove, Alberta. A Memorial Service will be held at COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD, COURTENAY on Saturday, October 16th, 2004 at 1:00p.m. Donations in Margaret’s memory can be made to your favorite charity.
