WATERFIELD- Margaret Patricia passed peacefully away on August 15, 2008 at Glacier View Lodge. "Auntie" Pat will be lovingly remembered by her 12 nieces and nephews. Pat was born in North Vancouver. When she was 11 her family moved to Fanny Bay. After graduation from high school in Courtenay she married Harold Waterfield and moved to Vancouver. There Pat managed the secretarial pool at the BC Central Credit Union Building. After many years she and her husband moved back to Union Bay where she became manager of the Union Bay Credit Union. In 1998 they made a final move to Cumberland, in their house on Ulverston they thoroughly enjoyed their retirement years amongst old friends. Pat was an avid reader but most of all liked to cook. Her baked goods were in great demand at the Ladies Of The Nile bake sales. There will be no service by request for the late Pat Waterfield. The family appreciated the loving care and friendship provided over the last several years by her homecare workers. We would also like to thank the nursing staff at Glacier View Lodge and Dr. Tancon and Dr. Woldnik for their excellent care.
