Maria spent her final weeks in the comfort of her own home with Rudi and her sons by her side. She passed away peacefully in her sleep. She is survived by husband Rudi, sons Stefan (Charlene) and Matthias (Lynn), grandchildren Christina, Dawson and Ashton.
Maria was a wonderful, compassionate person who deserved the best life had to offer. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, playing and cuddling. She was especially thrilled when Baby Christina arrived. We will all miss her very much.
The Gottmanns would like to thank Dr. John Law for all his care and compassion during this difficult time, as well as the excellent nursing staff of St. Joseph's Hospital, and the wonderful home support workers. All of these people worked very hard to make Maria's final days comfortable.
A Celebration of her life will be held at Otter's Bistro, Saturday, June 28, 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
