Van Otterlo, Maria (Ria)
Passed away at her home surrounded by her family and close friends on Friday, August 1, 2003 at 9:37 PM.
Predeceased by her husband, Henry (1998) and survived by daughter Diana (Mark), son Irvin (Anne), granddaughter Elizabeth Ria, and many nieces, in-laws, and friends scattered far and wide in this world; but mostly in Canada (especially in Toronto, Ontario, Fort McMurray, Alberta, Cumberland/Comox Valley and Victoria, British Columbia) in the U.S. of A., Austria, Belgium, England, and The Netherlands.
Ria fought her battle against pancreatic cancer for the last 7 months with her usual courage, dignity, and grace for which she was known to all.
A memorial mass will be held after cremation on Thursday, August 7, 2003 at 1:00 PM at Christ The King Parish, 1599 Tunner Drive, Courtenay, B.C.
