HAYTER, Marie Margaret
March 10, 1919 ~ June 20, 2010
Of Courtenay, born in Halifax, N.S. 91 years ago, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital on Sunday, June 20th, 2010. Predeceased by her husband Lorne; one sister and four brothers, she is survived and will be lovingly missed by her surviving family; brother Gerald; daughters, Arlene (Larry); and Sonya (Rick); son Richard (Lynn), grandchildren Mark (Rhonda), Robyn, Harold, Paul (Monika), Steen, Susan and Bidonna, and her great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed as well by her "second family" close friends Mary and Chuck Slemin and their family. Marie was a life member and former President of the CWL in New Brunswick as well as President of the Womens' Institute of Napen, N.B.
Prayers were offered from Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Road on Tuesday, June 22nd followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, June 23rd at 11:00 am from Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, with Father Paul Murphy celebrant. For those wishing, donations in her memory to any Catholic charity of choice would be appreciated.
