ROBINSON

Marion Dawn

October 5, 1952 - October 24, 2007

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister and aunt. Marion passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital October 24, 2007, with her family at her side, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born to Joe and Evelyn Marcinek on October 5, 1952 Marion is survived by her husband of 22 years Rick Robinson (beloved pet Shriker) of Courtenay. Her son Aaron (Shelley) Frost, their daughters Franki, Marti and Xandryn, of Port McNeill. Her son Harley Robinson and his son Kolton of Courtenay.

Lovingly remembered by her brother Ken (Joan) Marcinek of Port Alberni. Her sisters Shirley (Gerry) Krotz of Comox, Louise (Duncan) Taggart of Port McNeill, Denise Wilson of Stoval, North Carolina, and Darlene Hammond of Victoria. Also remembered by brother-in-law Ted (Sheri) Robinson of Comox, and sisters-in-law Pat Bremner (John Foster) of Port McNeill, Barb (Ian) McLaren, and Donalda (Keith) Stratton of Houston, Texas. As well as all of her nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Marion’s life, though short, was filled with the joys of grandchildren, trips south with her snowbird friends, and the many years spent on the North Island with her family and friends, as well as those in the Comox Valley. Marion moved to the Comox Valley where it was said that it didn’t rain as much, only to find out that her lawn was always brown instead of mossy green.

At Marion’s request there will not be a celebration of her life, instead a gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank Dr. Debra Weins of the Comox Valley and Dr. Andy Attwell of Victoria for their never “give up attitude” and their uncomparable bedside manner. We would also like to include the Staff on the third floor of St. Joseph’s Hospital for the unbelievable care that was provided to Marion and her family in her final days.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to the St. Joseph’s General Hospital Foundation @ 2137 Comox Avenue, Comox, B.C. V9M 1P2 or 250-339-1410.
