Mark was born in Middleton, N.S. & educated in Trenton & Ottawa, Ontario. He graduated high school at the Canadian Forces base Baden-Sollingen, Germany. He always wanted to be in the police force and at 17 enlisted in the armed forces as a Military Policeman. Nine years later he transferred to the R.C.M.P. serving in Vancouver, Abbotsford and Courtenay.

Mark was known for his big heart and great sense of humour. He was very involved with teaching the D.A.R.E. program to Elementary schools in the valley, R.C.M.P. camps and spent a number of years working as a school liaison Officer. In his spare time you could find him camping, travelling, volunteering with the Air Cadets, watching the History channel or trying his luck on a 2 cent machine in the different places he visited.

Our family invites his friends and all those whose lives he touched to a Celebration of Life, held Saturday, August 28th, at 1:00pm in the Officers Mess at 19 Wing Comox.

As long as we live, he too shall live, for his memory is a part of us. We will remember him.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to one of the following charities; BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or Cops for Cancer.
