Barnacle - Mary
Mary Barnacle a long-time resident of the Comox Valley passed away peacefully March 29th, 2005 in Williams Lake, BC. Mary was born in England on October 2, 1916. In 1952 Mary and her husband Tom sailed from England with their 2 sons to make their new home in Canada, moving to BC in 1953 where Mary practiced as a registered nurse for many years. Mary and Tom retired to the Comox Valley in 1978 and Mary loved her life there. Due to declining health they moved to Williams Lake in July of 2004 to be near family. Mary leaves behind her loving husband of 58 years, Thomas, her two sons, Trevor (Gerry), Peter (Claire) and five grandchildren: Shawn (Claire), Tricia (Darren), Edward, Jane (Tom) and Andrew. The family requests that in lieu of flowers please make a donation in memory of Mary to your local hospice or palliative care program.
