Passed away on Saturday January 19, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents Sylvere and Elizanna Arsenault and her sister Helen Nykiforuk. Theresa is survived by her husband Dan Knutson; her sons Steven Thompson (Sharon) of Halifax, N.S. and Michael Thompson of Sydney, N.S.; a daughter Kimberley McCarthy (Shaun) of Lethbridge, Alberta; grandchildren Sarah, Caileigh, Lauchlan and Sonah; a great granddaughter Jayanna Nicole; brothers Phil, Urban, Melvin, Joe and Benny and sisters Jean and Donna. She enjoyed sewing, reading, crocheting, quilting, cross-stitch and embroidery. Theresa was a loving wife, a great mom, was always thinking of others, full of life and was very courageous. A Memorial Service will be held at the COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 1101 RYAN ROAD on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made, in Theresa’s memory, to the Canadian Cancer Society, #102-1509 Cliffe Avenue, Courtenay, B.C. V9N 2K6
