Maura Joan (need Hyde)
Joan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 22nd at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox, BC.
She was born on April 17, 1920 in New Westminster, BC and lived in Vancouver from 1948 to 1997 when she moved to Comox. During her working years she was employed with the Vancouver School Board, until her retirement in 1985, as head secretary at Killarney Secondary School.
She will be fondly remembered for her love and generosity and will be dearly missed by her sons: Jack and Bill; daughter-in-law, Dale; grandchildren: Allison, Katie and John and her many friends and relatives.
The family would like to thank the third floor staff at St. Joseph’s hospital and Dr. Bradley Harris for the dedicated care that they gave to Joan during her last month. She will be buried with her pre-deceased husband, William Earl Jeffrey at Ocean View Cemetery in Burnaby, BC.
