Laurel May Gale

Died peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital at the age of 78. She is predeceased by her brother Bill and her sisters Milly and Lorena. Laurel spent her early childhood at Menzies Bay and had a great love of the outdoors. She was a knowledgeable gardener and perhaps more than any other activity, loved fishing. Laurel was best known for years as the owner operator of the Orchard Manor rest home (now Laurel Lodge). She had the spirit of a pioneer. She will be missed very much by her sons John, Dave, Ken and Mike and their families, and by many of her friends she has made over her life.
