It is with great sadness the family of Mike Sjodin announce his passing.
Mike was born in Vancouver, BC on August 3rd, 1967 and died unexpectedly on July 1st, 2017 in Courtenay, BC. Those that knew Mike well will surely remember him by his incredible sense of humor, colorful ink, mad phat carpentry skills and of course his bad ass Harley Davidson. More importantly though and most apparent to all that knew and loved him was his unyielding loyalty, love and fierce protectiveness of his friends and family, particularly his daughters and granddaughters. Though his time with us was short, the memories that he left behind will continue to nurture the hearts of the many lives he touched for years to come.
He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Marlene. He will be forever cherished by his family, wife Tracey, daughters; Dezarae (Graeme), Destiny, Dakota and Chanel, grandchildren; Gracie and Octavia, siblings; Sheryl (Troy), Jack (Gill), Marlene (Daryl), in laws; Ed and Rose Ransberry, many nieces, nephews and friends.
A service to celebrate Mike’s life will be Saturday, July 15th, 2017 at 1:00 pm from the Lower Native Sons Hall, 360 Cliffe Avenue, Courtenay, BC. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to Y.A.N.A.
