Simpson, Mike “Homer”
February 11, 1954 - February 14, 2007
Mike died after a long and courageous fight with brain cancer. He never lost his love for family or his zest for life. He lived his adventurous life to the fullest with huge enjoyment. Mike considered his greatest achievement to be raising his two awesome boys Brian “Fly” and Kyle “Maggot”. He was also a wonderful husband and friend to his wife Kim “Marge”. Mike served in the Canadian Forces as a Sar Tech; was awarded the Medal of Bravery; was a ski patroller on Mt. Washington, and operated West Coast Expeditions where he was able to fulfill his love of all things kayaking. Mikes request is that his life be celebrated with an outdoor gathering of friends and family. A beach and forest walk will take place from his home near Seal Bay. A final send off will be on the peak of Mt. Washington. In his memory, Mike would really like everyone to plant a tree for the earth.
