Mike Toth
November 6, 1934 - March 2, 2008
My darling husband and dearest friend passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2008. Born in Hardiville, Alberta he will be dearly missed by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Ettie, his faithful companion Dingo, brother Vincent Toth of Lethbridge, Alberta and his 5 children Joan (Jamie) Wood, Theresa Ledger, Deborah, Mark, and Marian (David) Swift, as well as his 11 grandchildren and many close friends.
Mike worked hard all his life - starting work at a very young age - from a counter parts person, to a fireman for 10 years and then venturing off to Picture Butte to be a grocery store owner and rancher.
Wanting to live in a warmer climate the family moved to Campbell River in 1975 where he became a motel owner and car salesman. In 1986 he retired in Comox.
Mike was know for his generous spirit and was always willing to give someone a helping hand. He was an excellent mechanic and a jack-of-all-trades. His wit and charm won the hearts of all who had the pleasure of his company. He was great at making those around him laugh.
Though Mike faced many challenges in his life he never complained. His strength and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Prayers were offered with viewing and visitation on Wednesday, March 5th at 7:00 pm from Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Road. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by Father Paul Murphy on Thursday, March 6th, 11:00 am at Christ The King Roman Catholic Church, Tunner Drive, Courtenay, followed by interment at Courtenay Civic Cemetery.
