HILLIS, Nadine Elsie [nee Smith] passed away peacefully on September 17, 2009 with her devoted husband Gordon at her side.  Predeceased by sister, Tessa Hubbard, and parents, Franklin and Myrtle Smith. Survived by her faithful companion and beloved husband Gordon, and her children: Nicole Collingridge, Melanie (Leo) Pouliot, Shane Collingridge, James Collingridge, Dean (Alissa) Collingridge and grandchildren, Marc, James, Adam, Scott and Lucy. 

Born March 24, 1944 in Montreal, Quebec, the second child in a family of 6 sisters and 3 brothers, Nadine cherished family above all. She is remembered as a courageous loving mother who was always optimistic, caring, and accepting. She was a positive influence on all who met her. Nadine found her greatest joy in mothering her children and her grandchildren were her greatest delight. She was much loved for her contagious giggle and ability to tell a story. She was truly a beautiful and special person and will be dearly missed by her sweetheart, Gordon, and her loving family and friends.

Funeral Services to be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Chapel on October 1, 2009, viewing at 12 p.m., service to begin at 1 p.m. Burial service at Cumberland Cemetery to follow.
