NELLIE LEVASSEUR
September 3, 1940 - February 13, 2008
Nellie passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Anthony's Hospital, The Pas Manitoba. In 1963 Nellie and her first husband Sheldon Beckham moved to B.C. and had seven children together before separating in 1973.
Nellie moved to the Comox Valley where she married Ray Levasseur and together had 1 child. Nellie worked as a School Custodian for over 30 years and shared a home in Black Creek with Ray until they separated in 2004. She was a warm hearted woman who opened her home and heart to many. She was always eager to cook many a pot of soup for those who stopped by. She will sadly be missed by very many people.
Nellie is survived by her husband Ray. Her children Perry (Nadine) Beckham, George Beckham, David (Corinne) Beckham, Gordon (Trish) Beckham, Annie Prasek, Raenell Levasseur; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; plus many nieces & nephews. Nellie is predeceased by her son Simon Beckham and daughter Cynthia Beckham.
A small family Celebration was held in Courtenay on February 20, 2008.
