JESPERSEN, Ole

November 5, 1934 ~ August 25, 2010

On Wednesday August 25th, 2010, Ole Jespersen went for his last run, he passed away Saturday August 28th in the company of his wife Else of 56 years, his children, grandchildren, brother and sister in law. Ole was predeceased by his parents Aage and Edith, and his brother Borgho. He is survived by his wife Else, and 4 children, Helle Scott (Steve), John Jespersen, Ann Nygren (Rob) and Jan Jespersen, his 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Ole was a good man who moved to Canada from Denmark in 1956 and was joined there later by his wife and daughter. He worked as a carpenter, building everything from houses to dams and built 3 homes for him and Else, including building his own furniture and the little benches that will be forever treasured. Being an avid runner, he motivated us with his "just do it" attitude and positive outlook. He also enjoyed sailing, hiking and skiing.

Ole loved life, his wife, family and friends, a good glass of wine, a cold Lucky and the occasional Schnapps.

There will be an open house to celebrate Ole's life on Saturday September 4th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at 1047 Malahat Drive in Courtenay. Come by for a visit, a story and a beer.
