MUIR, OLIVE MAY
April 19, 1915 - October 4, 2006
Olive passed away peacefully at home with two of her daughters by her side. Predeceased by her husband William, sister Gladys, son Lanny, and two grandsons John. She is survived and will be missed by brothers Jim (Doris) and Bob (Betty); son David (Barbara); daughters Shirley (Ted), Beverley (Wray), Gwen (Leo), and Bernice; daughter-in-law Susan; grandchildren Linda (Dominic), Craig, (Tania), Lisa, Jonathan, Vicki (Mike), Mike (Nancy), Mary, Bob, Leo, and Michelle (Ben); nine great-grandchildren, several cousins, and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Innisfail, Alberta, Olive spent the early years of her marriage in the East Kootenays. Later she lived for many years in Powell River, BC and then Burnaby, BC. In both those communities she was very involved with volunteer work. She moved to the Comox Valley in July 2000.
A Service to honor Olive’s life will be held at Comox Valley Funeral Home & Crematorium, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay, BC on Wednesday, October 11th, 2006 at 1:00pm followed by a Bahá’à burial at Courtenay Civic Cemetery. In memory of Olive, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
