Hanson, Otillia (Terry) Maria
Passed away March 13, 2002 in Powell River.
Born in Galatz Romania, September 09, 1920 she came to Canada at the height of the great depression and lived, worked and contributed to British Columbia for most of her life.
Terry is survived by her daughter Patricia, her son Dan (Mary), her sister Connie, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her son Edward (Tiny) Hanson.
A feisty individual who made up her own mind on all matters, Terry will be remembered at a Memorial Ceremony in Powell River, at the Kiwanis Annex, 4943 Kiwanis Avenue at 1:00 p.m., March 23, 2002.
A second service will be held at the residence of Dan and Mary Hanson in Courtenay, 2610 Grieve Road on April 7, 2002 at 1:00 p.m.
Terry was one of the last true coastal pioneers.
Contributions in lieu of other gifts of remembrance will be received at each ceremony and delivered to the B.C. Children’s Hospital.
Her remains will be interred at a private family ceremony.
