Barr, Philippa (Pippa) Ann

Pippa passed away peacefully after a short illness on February 22, 2006 in Richmond at the age of 82. Born in Comox, BC on October 20, 1923. Predeceased by her parents “Polly” and Kay Pollock of Comox, BC and her youngest brother, David M. Pippa left her loving family – Husband of 55 years, Bob, sons Rob (Sidney) and Jeff. Siblings – Cy Pollock (Shirley) and Lynn (Paul Sr.) Planidin, Sister-in-law, Lillian Pollock and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the docotors, nurses, and staff of 4th floor ward, North Tower of Richmond Hospital for their excellent care and compassion to Pippa, also many thanks to the interpreters of the Medical Interpreting Service (M.I.S.).
A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Pippa will be held on Saturday, March 4th 1:00pm at St. Francis de Sales Parish, 6610 Balmoral Street, Burnaby, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC SPCA (in honour of Pippa’s love of pets), BC Deaf and Blind Assn. (CNIB), Richmond Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
