Richard Perry

February 12, 2005

Perry, Richard (Dick)

Richard was born in Amherst, Nova Scotia October 26, 1932 and passed away peacefully in his sleep at St. Joseph’s General Hospital, Comox on Saturday, February 12, 2005. He leaves behind his wife and best friend Marjorie; daughter Janine (Jim); sons: Ric (Tona) and Roger (Cathy); stepchildren: Joanne (Brian), Janice (Peter), Sue (Dave), Brian; 12 grandchildren; and many others touched by him.

Richard retired from 407 Squadron in 1980 after 31 years of service. He achieved over 11,000 hours of flight time on the Argus and was immensely thankful to the RCAF for his career. He had a job many of us can only dream about.

He passes on to us his love of nature, fishing, gardening and the simpler things in life. We are thankful to have shared our lives with him, our dearest friend, and fondly recollect his sensitive nature and playful humor. Family and friends were his priorities. So many memories flood our hearts....

A Celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 18, 2005 at the Comox Legion at 1:00 pm. Donations to the Comox Valley Air Cadets in lieu of flowers. Arrangements entrusted to Comox Valley Funeral Home And Crematorium, 1101 Ryan Road.
