WAKEFIELD, Robbin Edward died peacefully at,

Royal Jubilee Hospital (Victoria)

on April 1, 2007. Robbin will be sadly missed by his wife, Maureen, son Ryan (Kathryn), step-children John, Wendy (John), brothers Brian, Chris and Stephen (Dee), numerous beautiful grandchildren and his nieces and nephews; predeceased by his parents Ted and Dorothy Wakefield. It is heartrending that he will never be able to physically hold Ryan’s first child, he will be there in spirit.

Robbin was born in Vancouver. He lived in Fort Smith and Campbell River in his earlier years. He served three years in the RCN and worked for twenty-five years for Seaspan.

After he retired, he and his wife moved to the Comox Valley from Victoria.

Robbin was a devoted family man and faced his passing with courage and dignity, surrounded by family.

The family wishes to thank the paramedics and all of the hospital staff who worked tirelessly to help.

Friends are invited to celebrate his life at his favorite place, home, 5904 Nelson Road in Courtenay, Tuesday, April 10 at 1:30 pm.
