Jeglum, Robert Bernard

1921 - 2007

Surrounded by his family, Bob passed away peacefully at home on February 10, 2007. Bob was born in Clive, Alberta and moved to Salmon Arm in 1938. He joined the war effort during WWII and served overseas with the 7th Anti Tank Regiment in France, Italy and Holland. While stationed in England he met and married Joyce, his wife of 63 years.

After returning to Canada he completed his apprenticeship as a Certified Watchmaker and Jeweller.

Bob & Joyce were involved with square dancing for many years.

An avid snooker player, “Gentleman Bob” represented the Comox Valley at the B.C. Senior Games for a number of years and won many gold medals.

Predeceased by his parents and brother Victor; Bob leaves his loving wife Joyce; children: Lyn, Bobby (Brigitte) and Tony; grandchildren: Alan and Donna (Gary); great-grandchildren: Alexander and Kaitlyn; sister Gwen; and nieces and nephews.

The family is grateful to Dr. D. Boler and the Home Care Nurses for their tender care.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cremation arranged by Comox Valley Funeral Home.
