COCHLAN, Robert Fred

July 2, 1931 - January 4, 2008

Passed away after fighting an illness for the past couple of years. He was predeceased by his loving partner of 23 years Shelah Yendall. Survived by his two children Shelley (Ed), Danny; stepchildren Larry (Linda) Ken, Terry (Kathy) and Audrey (Ron); sister Donna (Bill); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Fred retired in 1983 after working his entire career with CFB Comox as a Civilian Forman of the Paint/Maintenance Department. Fred also was a coach for many ball teams in Cumberland during his earlier years. His pasttime over the past years has been playing Keno and we are sure that the Keno machines will miss him.

We love you forever Dad/Grampa/Brother and there won't be a day or moment that goes by that you aren't in our thoughts.

The family would like to thank all of the nurses and staff of the third floor for the care given to our Dad during his past weeks. We would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Lundy for the care that has been given to him over the past 2 years and a special thank you to the ER doctors for the care given to Fred on his admittance to the hospital.

We would like to give a Very Special Thank You to the girls of the Waverly Pub in Cumberland for making sure our Dad always had his Keno tickets watched and delivered back and forth to his table when he came there for his lunch and coffee this past couple of years. Thank you so much. No funeral services will be held as per his request.

Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Road, entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lung Association.
