Robert William Grieve, born on October 11, 1927 in New Westminster, BC to William and Vera Grieve, passed away suddenly at his home in Black Creek, BC on April 23, 2008. He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Dorothy in 2004 and his son,David in 2007. He is survived by his loving family: wife Mona; children, Shirley (Burke) Purdon, Patricia (Bob) McCotter, Donna Cabot, Mark Gailius, Drew (Joanne) Gailius, Tracy (Ron) Schmand, Kelly (Wayne) Aston and Roger (Jennifer) Grieve. He is also survived by his brothers, George, Kenneth and Ronald Grieve; and daughter-in-law Debbie (late David Grieve) also many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family and good friends. Robert was a simple, hardworking family man, and a champion "cusser". He was much loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service in honour of Robert will be held at Sutton's Funeral Home, 502 S. Dogwood Street, Campbell River, BC on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Kent Rogers officiating. A Reception will follow the Service. Cremation entrusted to Mission Hill Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Robert Grieve may be made to a charity of one's own choice.
