“Clancy” as he was known to most, was born in Henderson, ON, relocating to BC as a young man. He lived in various parts of the province throughout his life, although Courtenay and the ocean always held a special place in his heart and he returned here in the late 80’s. Since 1997 he had been struggling with Alzheimers and passed away suddenly at his home at the age of 70. He is predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Eileen Clancy, his wife Pat, daughter Ellen Foulds, and sister Betty. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his daughter Shannon (Kelvin) Parent, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, aunts, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Piercy’s Mt. Washington Funeral Home on Friday, January 13, 2006 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of BC, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
