Steele, Robert James (Bob) passed away on Aug. 25, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born in Ottawa on May 23, 1946. Bob moved to BC in 1972 after the loss of his infant son, Darren. Bob had many titles in his life: son, brother, husband, dad, grandfather (Pa), uncle, cousin, nephew, friend, chef, salesman, fireman, logger, C.B’er, hypnotists’ assistant, volunteer but his favorite job was being a security guard. From the year 1996, at the first Comox Pow Wow, his love for security grew, with him owning his own company “Knights of Steele”. He met so many great people all over the Island.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Francis Steele and his son, Darren.

He is survived by his loving family: Teresa, Tiffany and his much loved grandsons, James and Jole; his sister, Diane Westall and her family; his cousin, Nancy Yeomans and family; Susan and Nanny and many, many friends.

A “Memorial Coffee” will be held on Friday, September 4, 2009 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Piercy’s – Mt. Washington Funeral Home, 440 England Avenue, Courtenay.
