It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Rodny "Jane" Kennedy on August 1st at St. Joseph's Hospital in Comox. Jane passed peacefully with her family at her bedside.
Jane was predeceased by her mother & father Christine & Charlie Kennedy, her brother Ted, and sister Margaret. She is lovingly remembered by her son James, daughter Kathy, special granddaughter Erin (Jason) and very special great grandsons Kai and Tyson. She is also survived by her sister Mary, brother-in-law Al and sister-in-law Celia, along with many nieces and nephews here in Canada and Australia.
Jane was born in Craik, Saskatchewan in 1936. In 1971, she and her husband Don moved to Port Alice BC where Jane was employed by the Village of Port Alice for 26 years, finishing her career as Clerk for the Village.
While in Port Alice, Jane enjoyed curling, golfing, and loved her garden. After retiring from Port Alice, Jane re-located to Courtenay in 2000. She loved living here and enjoyed her life to the fullest. Her life was filled with love, kindness and a wonderful sense of humour.

A celebration of Jane's Life will be held on Saturday, August 12th at 2pm at Comox Valley Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 1101 Ryan Rd., Courtenay.
