Rolland Jolley

September 18,1932 - September 19, 2017

Rolland passed away peacefully on Monday Sept. 19, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Comox at the age of 85 years.

He was born and grew up in Montreal, Quebec. After 32 years he retired from Nortel but continued to work on special projects traveling to China, Columbia, Burkina Faso and Belize.

Rolland and his wife Shirley vacationed often in the islands where they loved meeting the local residents. They moved to Courtenay in 2003.

Rolland and his wife had a passion for gardening and enjoyed sharing their produce with friends and neighbours.

Although he faced medical issues in his later years he was not a complainer and always lived life to the fullest. He was a fighter to the end.

He is predeceased by son Kirk in 2010.

He is survived by his wife Shirley, daughters Carole, Faith and Jayne, sons Dwayne and Alan, 2 sisters Barbara Ann and Marilyn and 1 brother Hank. He  is also survived by their 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren.

Many thanks to Dr Bullock, and the North Shore Home Nursing Team and to the dedicated staff of St. Joseph's Hospital.
