Rose passed away at Nanaimo Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Rose is survived by her loving partner of 22 years, Richard Evans, sons Bob (Wendy) and Peter (Kristine), seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brother Joe, and many family members in England and Scotland. Rose is predeceased by her first husband, Jerry Newman and sister Irene Baxter. Rose and Richard lived in the Fanny Bay area for over 20 years. She was active in the community belonging to the Lioness Club and the OAP. A Gathering in memory of Rose will be held in the OAP Hall in Fanny Bay on Thursday, February 23 at 2 pm. This will be a Celebration of Roses’ full and vibrant life. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
