October 23, 1920 - June 21, 2009
It's with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce her peaceful passing at St. Joseph's Hospital on June 21 with her family at her side.
She was predeceased by her only son Don in 2001 and her husband, of 59 years, George in 2003. She is survived by her daughter Judi (Alex) of Comox. She was a much loved Nana to Tanya (Coke) of Nanaimo, Shannon (Lee) of Courtenay, and Brad and Ryan of Ontario; also to two great-granddaughters Katriana (Nanaimo) and Riley (Courtenay).
Marion was a loving, kind, strong and generous lady who went through life "being fair" and quietly doing for others. Her Bingo Buddies from the Florence Filberg Center and D'Esterre House will sadly miss her helping hand and sense of humor.
Through the years she generously donated regularly to many charities with the BC Children"s Hospital becoming a favorite.
Anyone wishing to donate to this charity in her name would be very much appreciated. In accordance to Marion's request no service is to be held. A family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
