Sandra Pearl (nee: Cobban)
April 3, 1955 - July 25th, 2009
After suffering from long term illness Sandra passed away early Saturday morning, July 25th, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Comox. Her family would like to thank Doctor Bell and the Valley Care Medical and all of the nurses and staff of St. Joseph's ICU for all of their excellent care and support.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Jim and her four boys Rohan (Susan), Jason (Kim), Shane (Stephanie), Christopher (Crystal) and her daughter Roberta (Shane). She will be greatly missed by her treasured grandchildren Austin, Dylan, Eric, Dakota and Elizabeth.
Sandra was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba, one of five beloved daughters born to Florence (deceased) and Alec Cobban, she will forever be remembered by her loving sisters Deborah, Brenda, Barbara and Lara. Sandra will be deeply missed by caring in-laws Rose Williams, Charlie (deceased), Randy (deceased), Edie, Donald and David, many nieces and nephews, as well as by countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her.
She dedicated much of her life to the values she held dearly which were friends/family and the charity she founded Y.A.N.A. (You Are Not Alone). She believed in these virtues and the community they supported.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Friday, July 31st, 2009, a public viewing will be held between 10-noon and a service following at 2 p.m. at Piercy's Funeral Home, 440 England Avenue, Courtenay, BC.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations are to be given to YANA (please write in Honour of Sandra).
