BROMLEY, Sergent (Ret.) John A

May 20, 1920 – November 26, 2010

A family man, devoted, caring husband to Jacqueline (predeceased 2005), loving father to Marita (Mario) Sanchez, Marcel (Faye), Daniel (Joanne), John, Susan, Kevin (Angela) Bromley. Precious Grandpa to Erynn Tomlinson, Adom, Ashton, Brittni, Jordan, Nycol Bromley, and Renee Tomlinson Mattila (predeceased 2009).

John served with the British Merchant Marines, Canadian Armed Forces, Blue Beret Peacekeeping Forces and the Corps of Commissionaires. For His bravery and belief in our freedoms, he received numerous medals in World War II, Korean War and various Tours of Duty. John brought his family to B.C. and eventually retired in Parksville. He pursued his love of writing, mainly political satire, and contributed to a variety of newspapers and published fictions. John loved to recite poetry that always seemed appropriate for the given conversation. Dad showed his love to us in many different ways.

The Lord has called his name, his soul is free heading to where he wants to be, with his wife, Jacqueline; all the people who he loved and whom loved him.

We will miss him and remember the special times of laughter, songs and dancing. May he Rest in Peace for he will always be in our hearts and soul.

The Service will be held on December 4, 2010 2:00 P.M. at Yates Funeral Service, 1100 Allsbrook Road, Parksville, B.C
