MINAKER, Susan Jane
1964-2003
Susan Jane Minaker succumbed to a courageous battle with cancer September 27, 2003 at Surrey, BC. She will be missed by many friends and family, including her life partner William Davidson of Surrey, BC, parents James and Jane Minaker of Comox, BC, sister Karen Harrison (Kyle) and niece Rachel Harrison of Comox, BC, grandparents Jack and Jeanette Minaker of Picton, ON and grandmother Muriel Preece of Comox, BC. She was born August 5, 1964 in Comox, BC. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from UBC in 1986 and received a Masters Degree in Genetics from the University of Alberta. She spent several years sharing her knowledge as a university instructor. She also believed in protecting our earth and supported several environmental causes. Many thanks to all who offered Susan support through letters, phones calls and visits. They gave her much joy. The family would also like to thank all the health care workers who gave so much support, especially Dr Leslie Sank for his incredible compassion during such a difficult time.
