KNAP

Sylvia Beatrice (Bea)

On Easter Monday, March 24, 2008, Sylvia Beatrice (Bea) Knap went to be with Jesus and her husband, George, at the age of 78 years.

She is lovingly remembered and honored by daughters: Kathleen (Pat) McManus of Surrey, Colleen (Ross) Gajda of Courtenay, Barb (John) Robinson of Courtenay, Georgina (Thomas) Longhi of North Vancouver; and two grandchildren, Dustin and Tirzah Robinson; sisters, Pat (Ken) Diehl, Gerry (George) Nestor, Shirley (Lloyd) Hedden; and brother, Dick (Mid) Bendeler; special friends, Jean and Jake Krahn as well as numerous extended family and friends.

“Bea” lived with her husband, George, in their Burnaby family home since it was built in 1954 and took immense pleasure in her daughters, their husbands and the grandchildren. Family occasions meant the most to her and she loved to prepare large meals for them. “Bea” is remembered for her generous spirit and infectious laugh – to name a few of her attributes. She will be sorely missed by us all but we look forward to seeing her and dad again in heaven.

As mom was baptized in the Puntledge River, we will be gathering there to scatter her ashes.

Mom was very thankful for the equipment that the Red Cross was able to loan to her during her illness and so we request that donations be made to the Red Cross Loan Cupboard in Courtenay.
