THOMAS VINCENT JONES
February 9, 1967 – February 24, 2008
Born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan on February 9, 1967, Tom passed away peacefully on Sunday February 24, 2008 following a tragic accident the week before.
He leaves to mourn his parents; Vincent Jones of Saskatchewan, Lynn and Brian deVries of Courtenay, best friend and brother Bob (Leesha) Jones, sisters; Betty (Chris) deVries, Sue (Donny) Gray, Lora (Norm) Maximick, nephews and nieces; Donald, Daniel, Melissa, Logan, Cassidy, Jasmine and Shelby as well as many close friends.
Tom spent part of his career in Alberta working on a paving crew and later as a machine operator in a gravel quarry. He also worked as a commercial diver here in B.C. and later as a fish technician.
Tom loved fishing and being outdoors. He was a carefree spirit and was good at making all those around him laugh. Though Tom faced many challenges in his life – he never complained. His strength and sense of humour will be cherished and greatly missed by all those that knew him. In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice. Rest now. A celebration of life will be held at a later publicized date.
