Survived by husband Gordon, son Tim (Vickie) from Calgary, daughter Rhonda (Neelam) and only grandson Keelan from Port Alberni. Also who are left to mourn her loss are her extended family and cherished friends.
Val’s passion for nature was expressed through her love of the outdoors by skiing, boating, walks, and westcoast visits. Good times and lots of laughs were had by all at her dinner theme parties.
She was a loving and dedicated mother and wife. Her strength and will for life was admired by all.
The family would like to extend their thanks to all who cared for Val through her illness and a special thank-you to Dr. Ptak.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to their charity of choice.
