She was predeceased by her father William Vanes, her sister Meik Vanes, her partner in life Al Wilson, her mother Meip (granny).
She is survived by her loving son Ryan her stepdaughter Jamie (& family), her brother Bill (Darlene) and their children Karen, Michelle and Shane, her loyal companions Molly & Smokey, and many friends that knew her. Yvonne was very well-known in the Valley. She was a trickster with a great sense of humor. She was a strong courageous woman, with a lasting impression.
A Celebration of Life was held July 7, 2007, because we could “not have a party without her”. That day meant a lot to her.
Thank you to everyone who helped and supported her in her final days. There was no service by request.
Anyone who wishes to say ‘goodbye’ and pay their last respects, there will be a gathering at the house/beach on the southend of Marine Drive in Royston at 7:00 pm on Saturday, August 4th.
