Comox Valley resident concerned about 'downzoning'

This is an invitation to anyone in the Comox Valley interested in subdividing land, to attend a public hearing Oct. 9 at the CVRD boardroom at 550B Comox Rd. in Courtenay.
There are going to be a large number of Comox Valley property owners who will suddenly find their properties have been downzoned once this bylaw amendment is passed in November.
If last Tuesday's "well-publicized" public information meeting, at which only 13 citizens were present, is any indication of the public's awareness of this vast downzoning proposal, then the public hearing, which will be your last chance to have any input into the bylaw, will be almost empty.
Come and find out what is happening when you least expect it.
