Regarding your editorial cartoon 4 May 2017.
I find it extremely offensive, ill-informed and degrading to the many people that have put many hours finding solutions to this issue. Many hours of volunteer time have gone into cleaning up after people that illegally dump. The Comox Valley Record perpetuating this false perception is shameful at best. I invite the editor of the newspaper and the artist that created this cartoon to meet with volunteers and see what the actual facts are.
What is truly shameful is this is the same newspaper that covered the issue of community cleanups in the past few years but this year very little mention about Earth Day or the various cleanups that took place.
