Mazda Chiefs drop playoff opener

The Comox Valley Mazda Peewee Chiefs played their first playoff game last Saturday against the Victoria Racquet Club. The Chiefs were down by two goals early in the first period before raising their play to match the visiting team. The local squad battled back to within one goal (3-2) after two periods. Unfortunately, the Victoria team scored four unanswered goals in the third period, resulting in a 7-2 loss. This Saturday the Comox Valley Chiefs play Nanaimo in The Harbour City.
