The Cermaq Outlaws are enjoying another strong season of Mid-Island Women's Soccer League play.

The defending league champions are currently in first place with a 9-1-0 record, putting them ahead of Oceanside United (7-2-1), CVUSC Revolution (7-2-1) and Shooters (7-3-1) who are all tied for second place.

And they're not just getting it done outdoors. On Dec. 27 the Outlaws defeated the VIPL U18 girls 3-0 to win the annual Carihi indoor tournament in Campbell River.

The MIWSL regular season runs to Feb. 21 with their year-end tournament set for Feb. 27-28 in Nanaimo. Shelby Jeeves of the Shooters is the league's to scorer with 13 goals while Pamela Richter of Oceanside is the top goalie, posting six shutouts in 10 games.
