Black Creek race track enjoys biggest crowd of season

The BC Day weekend at Saratoga Speedway featured two days of Monster Truck action along with Mad Max, Crash to Pass, Road Runners and Hornet car racing.

On Saturday night before the biggest crowd of the season, heat race wins in Hornet B went to Kyle Leonzio, Peter Leonzio, Chevy Carlsen and Kiana Westra. Chris Hleck won the B main, and the A main went to Carlsen. Hornet A heat wins went to Darren Monk and Ryan Jensen. Luke Dixon won the main event.

In Mad Max races, Brad Dimtrov won the heat and Damon Dunn the main. In Road Runner racing, Ryan Guest took wins in the heat and main. Crash to Pass wins went to Troy Ordano in the heat and Ryan Monks in the 20-lap main.

On Sunday night, Hornet B wins went to Jayden Rosner, Carlsen, Randi Joyce and Daniel Morrissey. Main event wins went to Leonzio in the B and Stephanie Addison the A. In Hornet A racing, heat race wins went to Brian Lippy and Stephane Parent. The 30-lap main saw Michael White win the weekend’s best race. In Mad Max racing, point leader Danielle Antonik won the heat, and Dunn won his second main event of the weekend. Guest repeated his Saturday performance by winning the heat and main in Road Runner racing. In Crash to Pass, Cam Edwards returned to racing this season by winning the heat. Chris Campbell won his first ever main.

The Crash to Pass, Road Runners and Hornet cars return Aug. 19 along with the Mad Max cars. A special attractions is the first ever limo car jump into a stack of cars. A second attraction will feature the return of Crash to Pass boat racing.

Speed returns to the track this weekend with the Modifieds, Bombers and Mad Max cars. Heading into Saturday’s racing, Chris Beaulieu leads Travis Stevenson by 152 points in the battle for the season points championship. Rounding out the top five are Peter Muloin, Jeff Monks and Dano Bryant. In the Bomber car points battle Boston Larson leads Chad Taks by 48 point with third place Charlie Akerman tailing Larson by 110 points. In the Mad Max points race Antonik leads Dunn by 57 points.
