Brooker, McArthur win Glacier Greens Shoot-Out

At the 22nd annual Glacier Greens Shoot-Out, which ended May 13, the alternate shot format proved challenging for the net side leaders with many changes at the top.

At the 22nd annual Glacier Greens Shoot-Out, which ended May 13, the alternate shot format proved challenging for the net side leaders with many changes at the top.

Not so on the gross side where, after the last putt had dropped, the team of Dave Brooker (club captain) and Doug McArthur (reigning club champion) moved from second place to win the tournament with a final three week score of (214). Second place went to Barry Norris and Willie Oliver at (215). Next at (217) was Rob Hill and James Rim, and rounding out the top five at (219) was Rob Borland and Steve Peters, as well as Al Cabilan and Gabe Tremblay.

On the net side of the tournament, Cabilan and Tremblay won with (183).

Next at (185) was Paul Arsenault and Rob Moore followed by Al Pasanen and Rudge Wilson (186). The team of Wally Berger and Jim Livingstone were fourth with (186.5). Rounding out the top five was the teams of Brian Goodwin and Bill Village, along with Ross Dowe and Nick Mykitiuk, both at (189).

KPs went to Berger and Livingstone on hole #4 sponsored by Scott Fraser of Royal LePage Reality, Phil Nakashima and Doug Mann on hole #7 sponsored by the Saturday Men’s Club, Bill Innes and Rob Gee on hole #12 sponsored by Gary Weibe of Boston Pizza, Neil Neilson and Denis Finnan on hole #15 sponsored by Bill Kelly of Bill Kelly Golf, and to Hill &Rim on hole #17 sponsored by Bill Girard of Canadian Western Bank.

Mulligans were sold for the final round.

All the money that was raised will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society and the annual ALS Golfathon.
