Lois Westbrook finally has her name etched on the trophy named after her sister.

Aug. 14 at the Sunnydale golf course in Courtenay, Westbrook and partner Maggie Miller won the Susan Westbrook Memorial Tournament with a score of 97.

“Susan was a member of Sunnydale and was actually the ladies captain at the time of her passing 24 years ago,” a news release states. “The Susan Westbrook Memorial Tournament has been in existance for 23 years, and it’s taken her sister all 23 years to finally win! Lois has come in second place twice but finally prevailed this year to win in her beloved sister’s honour. Susan loved the game of golf and she loved the two-ball format.”
