Can’t remember if you are going up the stairs or going down? Balance a worry? Aging health concerns?

Consider trying tai chi, which is much more than a martial art.

Research indicates tai chi improves balance and cognition in the aging population. It also has a meditative and relaxing effect, and appears to have health benefits.

For those who just see it as a slow moving form, look again. Participants learn to move and connect the entire body as a single unit in space. Movements require concentration and focus. It is a slow learning process, and although it seems that mastering the form is the goal, it can be far more than that.
